Jalan Pudu

Jalan Pudu begins where Jalan Tun Perak ends.

The Pudu Raya Terminal marks the beginning of Jalan Pudu.

Being one of the main bus terminals of KL, traffic here is heavy at most times of the day.

The Court Hill 'Elephant God' Temple along Jalan Pudu Lama.

Pigeons. Even the birds seek out shelter from the heat of the mid-day sun.

One of the old buildings along Jalan Pudu Lama.

Some of the buildings have been converted to B & B (Bed and Breakfast) outlets, but many like this one has seen better days. The local authorities (DBKL) don't seem interested as Jalan Pudu Lama is more of a back alley than a main road.

Plaza Rakyat; this building was to have replaced the Pudu Raya Terminal. The '97 Asian Financial Crisis threw a spanner in the works. Now only the Ampang and Seri Petaling Lines (STAR LRT) uses this as a station.

Although the cranes are still there, there is hardly any construction activity that is visible. Traffic here is further agravated by the buses parked along the road.
